Oh Farrah!
I first came across Farrah Ashline about 6 years ago on a writing group. She was publishing articles she hadn't purchased on her site called Girlsgoingout.com. A lot of writers were pissed and I was bored. So I checked a whole bunch of things out. Over the years Farrah turned out to have fleeced her contractors and contributors (WP.com article) and had a number of judgements against her.
She reappeared a few years go, claiming it was all a big misunderstanding and people were lying about her. (No doubt in response to the claims on FarrahAshline.com (Wayback Machine.) Her protests did her little good. She's no longer an Entrepenuer Rock Star, instead advertising her er, Tantra massage services as Nayka. A goddess indeed.
And now even her spiritual healing is causing issues. According to TimesUnion.com Ashline is falsely advertising her qualifications, lied about her background and her ex employees still haven't received their money.
Oh Farrah, what will you do next?

In my mind, staff writer Robert Gavin’s June 27th story “Steamy Web sites beckon users to massage services” does not pass ethical muster.
In his article, Mr. Gavin paint a lurids lead using “Nayka,” a valid, well-know, and knowledgeable Tantra teacher.
I am a pastoral counselor with a master’s degree in psychology, a doctorate in religious studies, and a professional member of the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists. Nayka, by virtue of our ongoing correspondence on Tantra is a teacher of mine. While she and I have never met in person, I have completed a first level Tantra massage session with another Goddess (Mr. Gavin will continue to embarrass himself until he learns a little more about this 6,000 year old art).
Some of the people I counsel come for pre-marriage preparation and current marital problems. In the West, we sometimes view sex as a source of recreation or a grunting act rather than a means of transformation. I understand you are considering a story that may involve Nayka as part of a “Sweep” on Craig’s list for possible illicit activities. I have been a reader/follower of Nayka through her email newsletters for approximately two years. I can say that her sincere wisdom and advice has been more helpful to my wife and I than either of two marriage counselors or anything else we have tried. I came to see you in the winter and left with some very clear ideas as to how I might save my marriage. I was genuinely surprised at what I found in the person. Sorry to see you in the crosshairs like this. Speaking from experience, it may be best not to engage this reporter at all. Reporters aren't employed to tell the truth. They are employed to sell papers. The best way to get out of the line of fire is to be a completely uninteresting story. If he/she told the truth about what you do, would it be interesting enough of a story to sell papers to the masses? We recently had a TV news piece here about a very discrete and tasteful lingerie / erotica store that opened in a suburban center. The church and the 'moral' populace was outraged and up in arms. The proprietor ( a female student of Tantra ) was in compliance with all local ordinances. Her response? No one is forced to patronize her store. She kept it low key, and stayed on the high ground. The result? I think she got a LOT of free publicity. Then the 'story' went away.
That said, I would be willing to send a statement along the lines of:
I worked with you and there was never any sexual activity between us.
Most of your work is about teaching people to have better relationships.
Tantra gets sensationalized a lot because of its erotic elements. However, it is really about energy.

The problem with discussing the spiritual aspects of your work is that it is not representative of the mainstream idea of spirituality. That makes a story.

I don't know why after many years I decided to do a google search of Farrah... and it seems she is up to her usual ways. I was one of the people conned by her and have documentation as well as court papers to prove I was an 'employee' and conned by her.
