Amir Massoud Tofangsazan's laptop

Amir sold a faulty laptop to a buyer on Ebay. He also mis-represented some fundamental details, like the amount of RAM and a DVD-RW contained. Understandably, the buyer was a less than happy man when he received his package.

Some months later, the laptop is up and running. The buyer then discovers that the seller hadn't wiped any personal data from the laptop, including passport scans, banking details, photos of women's legs and a big cache of porn.

So, what does he do? he creates a blog explaining what happened and what he's found.

All he wants is for you to link to him. I am happy to oblige.

The blog was funny, however it has the underlying feeling of self-promotion, and feels fraudulent, I think the laptop owner and the seller are the same person.

Hilarious blog, that is. I went the other way around, tho, found your's through that one. I found that the comments page there was even more hilarious that the actual blog post, and would be willing to read whole 1080 of them if it wasn't for classes tomorrow morning.

Hi James! It is, I've loved watching this laptop thing just explode. By Friday afternoon people in the US knew, New Zealand, Chile, Spain, all over the UK....

It's pretty cool :).

Hi Rob!

I do feel slightly dubious about the whole thing. The kid that's running the site is out for the hits... but I can't imagine why any of those photos would be his own.

Unless he's trying to get someone else back?

Hi Mart!

:) Thanks man... I was throughly amused by the whole thing on Friday. Nothing like a bit of Internet drama to take the pain of Friday away.

Hi Pedro!

That's the best icon ever.

Thank you :). I caught it early, I can't believe how quickly it just exploded. I suppose everyone has had a bad eBay experience in the past and loves the idea of one of those scammers getting busted.

How is Brazil?

LaptopGuy didn't repair the faulty laptop that Amir sold him, he took out the Hard Drive and connected it to another computer to see if the HD worked, that is when he found Amir's secret porn stash.
